Is The Six Figure Mentors Right For You?

Wednesday, February 23rd, 2011

The Six Figure Mentors is a relatively recent and fast developing internet community designed to help people who are running online businesses. The community is the brainchild of two experienced internet marketers who both have the desire to provide above average content for the members. It will potentially be one of the largest and thriving sites to help those new marketers develop a successful business earning over six figures a year. We will see over time whether it delivers on this potential. It is apparent though is that it may not suit all folk and you should be aware that it may not suit you.
Below are three reasons that the Six Figure Mentors may not be the community that can best serve your needs.

Big earnings don’t interest you
If you are simply searching for some extra pocket money or trying to top up your regular wage, then signing up with the Six Figure Mentors would be a waste of time. The community was started to assist those serious entrepreneurs who are dedicated to replacing their income and present “job” and creating a real online business. To get the most from your membership you should want to be a success and be eager to focus all your efforts into the business. You will receive the best training and be mentored by many industry leaders who will help you on your journey. It is up to you, however, to be determined to succeed and develop a profitable enterprise. So unless you are focused on earning a six figure income the Six Figure Mentors is not suited to you.

You feel you have all the knowledge
If you believe you already have all the experience and information to be successful on the internet, then I suggest you avoid joining the community. Long hours, effort and great expense from online experts has been required to gather intelligence and the latest information to compile a comprehensive education centre for the members. Should you not require this resource or not feel like participating in online training and webinars hosted by industry leaders, then you should stay away.

You have solved most of the dilemmas that occur online
If you have been operating online and have conquered the problems of isolation and sheer volume of information that many marketers encounter during their first months then steer clear. There is so much expertise to absorb and so much distracting material bombarding your email address that it is no surprise that over 90% of new marketers quit in the first few months. The Six Figure Mentors will of no help to you if you have already solved these problems and distractions. The community guidelines do not allow you to pitch products unless they have been endorsed by the SFM. Therefore if you like to hear about the newest ideas and products before they have been analysed, then the community is not for you. If networking with other people online, in an open, information sharing environment does not appeal to you and you are already above this challenge, I suggest you give the community a miss.

To summarise, the Six Figure Mentors is a community of people with similar interests and goals. They rely on expert training, the latest information from industry leaders and access to state of the art products. If all this is of no interest to you and you don’t want to work towards a six figure income then please do not get involved.

Starting An Internet Business – 5 Avoidable Errors

Thursday, October 28th, 2010

It can be an exciting time in your life when you start a Internet Marketing business from home. Many thoughts will go through your mind and expect to be continually excited as you attempt to put all your ideas together.

The biggest mistake a lot of new internet marketers make is to go too fast without carefully studying everything. Avoid this mistake by evaluating everything in detail and carry out your due dilligence before planning out your business. If you dont you will make things very difficult and the development of your business will be a long, hard process.

Here are 5 frequent errors that a lot of new internet marketers make when starting up.

1)      Being Too Confident

It is fine to be confident as this helps with a positive mindset that is an important part of success. You should keep this confidence under control though, as sometimes you will miss the important things required to successfully start your internet business.

2)      Not Understanding The Capital Required

Many people think that they can start an internet marketing business with no capital costs. Well, there is no such thing as FREE and it will require some financial investment to get started. It all depends on which type of business you want to concentrate on, but whatever it is, you will have to spend some money on some basic items. Try to spend this money wisely and focus on products that will help educate you and improve your knowledge of the internet matketing world. This will be money well spent and will save you further costs on your business later.

3)      Not Studying The Investment Value

It is common practice for new people to buy the first product that they come accross. Unfortunately many of these offers are scams and promise unrealistic success and wealth in no time with little work. If you are attracted by these “too good too be true” offers think again as you will lose far more money than you will ever make. Many of the top internet marketers were lured down this road and paid a high price for this mistake. But the really successful ones learnt from this experience and if you are the victim of such offers, treat it as education. The best thing to do is really examine the offer and see exactly what it will di to help your business long term.

4)      Not Having A Business Plan

One of the most important things you need is a business plan. Yet most new people fail to understand this. This ignorance can cost you a lot of money and time. You cannot just stumble along making adjustments as the need arises as this will be crisis management. You will encounter more than one tricky situation and without a definite business plan you will find these situations could be a disaster.

5)      Lack Of Market Research

Studying the market is one of the most crucial parts of your business development. It is so important to really examine what drives your target market and what is invloved to succeed in that market. It is easy to find yourself in a market that shows minimal interest in your offer and all your effort will have been in vain. Research your target market carefully if you dont want to fall in to this trap.

Becoming an Internet Marketer can be a rewarding and exciting experience and by following these 5 tips you should be able to find success faster.

Build solidly and research dilligently and you will get there.

Making Some Sense Of Affiliate Marketing

Monday, September 27th, 2010

The world is full of folks who would desperately love to make some extra cash. One of the problems is that they want to get this cash extremely quickly. All over the Internet there are many sites that will gladly take advantage of these folks and relieve them of their limited income. Many of these websites exist due to the demand from these people to become rich fast. One good illustration of these sites is the”get paid for/to” type of websites. Many of these sites claim you can receive a fantastic income simply by doing surveys, studying emails, reading reviews and others that basically stuff your PC with loads of advertisements while paying you next to nothing.

Think for a minute…if you were really successful making money online with minimal input, do you think you would freely share the secret of how you do it? Highly unlikely you would!

Making a good income online does not come at no cost. You will find that you have do research and do your due diligence by yourself and put some hard work in.

One of the easiest ways to make money online is to promote a merchants products and services as an Affiliate Marketer. In order to succeed at this you will require a website with its own domain name, web hosting and a suitable item to promote. You can obtain a domain name and hosting as reasonable cost. There are plenty of companies around that will sell you domain names for around $10 and some even provide free hosting.

Selecting a product to promote requires some serious attention. One of the most popular places to find such products is Clickbank. There are thousands of digital products offered by many merchants that you can market and receive good commissions for when a customer buys. There are definite advantages of Affiliate Marketing, including, no staff to pay, no inventory to maintain and the merchant handles all the delivery, payment and complaints process.

As long as you are promoting the products in a professional and organised way you should make a living from Affiliate Marketing. Your site should look a business website, be easy to find when prospects search and also be user friendly once they have found you. There are many ways you can drive targeted traffic to your site and then onto the merchants sales page. These include free and paid traffic sources. There are advantages and disadvantages in both sources. It is advisable to thoroughly learn and understand the specific type of traffic driving source that you want to use. If you proceed into this important part of Affiliate Marketing without this knowledge you will fail and probably lose money while failing.

As is usually the case, those who have put in the hard work and carried out good research and education will eventually make a very good income as an Affiliate Marketer.

Some Common Affiliate Marketing Errors – My Top 6

Sunday, September 26th, 2010

More often these days I notice common errors being made by Affiliate Marketers, especially those new to Affiliate Marketing. Often the self proclaimed “Gurus” have usually been the ones that have taught these mistakes or supplied misleading information.

Hardly any surprise that well over 90% of new Affiliate Marketers produce very little income and therefore quit. So why do only 5-10% make it work? It certainly isn’t that one person is simply “more successful” than the next. It is normally the way that over 90% operate the Affiliate Marketing business. I have compiled a list of frequent blunders that a lot of Affiliate Marketers make on a regular basis.

Here are 6 faults that should be avoided at all costs:

1.       Lack Of Good Search Engine Optimisation:

As a potential Affiliate Marketer the use of good SEO is vital. You will receive targeted traffic over a prolonged period at no cost. Be good mates with Google, Yahoo and MSN. Ensure your website is constructed using good and accurately coded HTML. Always present high quality subject matter and make sure every one of the site’s pages is optimised. It is advisable to really learn and understand SEO to be a successful Affiliate Marketer and there are many excellent training devices and courses that are available for this purpose.

2.       Text versus Banners – Less Banners and More Text:

There are so many of these style websites around and this may be the biggest problem. Why are you on the Internet? It is to search for information. Are banners any benefit for this? Are they informative, providing answers to your enquiries? I don’t think so!

By all means use banners, but no more than one or two. Make sure you have plenty of high quality information on your site before you place banners on the site. What you are trying to achieve is for the visitor to absorb some interesting text which will then encourage them to see what is beneath the banner to find out more. Simply by slapping a load of banners on your site will not help you to achieve “Super Affiliate Marketer” status.

3.       Not Promoting Multiple Products.

I could not really understand this and until you experience it, it is hard to make sense of.

Here is a scenario to help demonstrate the point:

You are in the market for a new vehicle and the obvious question to the car salesman is “What car do you think I should get?” Salesman 1 basically just shows you one vehicle and forces it on you as the best option. Salesman 2 lets you see 3 vehicles and then describes the good and bad points of them all but steers you in the direction of one in particular. Who would you trust more and buy from? This answer is a no brainer – people like to follow a recommendation for a product. Follow this and you will see a huge rise in conversions as your customers can have a choice and see some qualified recommendations.

4.        Not Giving Away Gifts:

This is another frequent oversight many Affiliate Marketers make. You must include some form of viral marketing into your set up. To attract visitors and develop some trust with them you must offer something of value at no cost. May be a series of interesting articles or an Ebook you have produced would suffice. If you can do this you should see a definite increase in your traffic. Patience is needed here as this approach can take some time to see results.

5.       Trying The “Hard Sell”

Even if your knowledge of Affiliate Marketing is limited you have probably heard of the “Pre-Sell”. It is amazing that so few use it as a tool in their business. A Pre-sell is normally used to build up a relationship by giving them excellent content and value whilst gradually persuading them to purchase by subtle recommendations. This ploy works very well as you will find if you introduce it into your marketing. Leave the “Hard Sell” to your merchant as that is clearly his job and definitely not yours.

6.       Website Too Busy:

Remember the Text versus Banners? Well this error is very much in the same category. So many times I have searched a website looking for a buy button or link to it but the site is so confusing I can’t find it. Also how many times during this confusion do you just abort and leave the site, never to return. A good, clear and precise set of pages that are easy to understand and hit all the targets is your aim. Get the visitor to hit that Affiliate Link and move on to the sales page where, if you have done all the correct things, they will buy.

If being a successful Affiliate Marketer is your goal I would strongly recommend that you have a look at all 6 of those tips again. Often I will re-visit some of my previous work and perform some repair work to many errors. Once repaired, however, the changes are usually positive and I see better results.

I am sure you will too!

Becoming Successful In Affiliate Marketing

Friday, September 24th, 2010

As you are seated at your computer the rest of the family are glued to the most recent films on cable. As you surf the Internet, clicking the search results for “make money online”, “home business” and various other enquiries. You are hoping to find the ideal home business idea that will allow you to finally have the lifestyle you feel you deserve.

The problem is that each promotion seems to promise even better benefits than the last one. To choose the best one to carry you to online riches seems impossible. Each bright red headline has claims such as, “Make $20,000 in a week”, “Six Figures in 6 months”, “I made $216,734 in a month on Auto Pilot”, blah, blah, blah.

The anticipation of finally finding the secret to wealth is so great that you will treat yourself to that special bottle of single malt, with the knowledge that after you follow one of these many “steps to success” programs the dollars will flood your wallet. If it really was this easy to succeed there would be a shortage of single malt whisky in Scotland. Unfortunately in the real World it is much harder to be a successful online. Having said this it is not all doom and gloom. It is possible to accomplish many of the claims in the plethora of sales pages, but it is not going to happen with only 30 minutes work a day and certainly not on complete auto pilot.

So, how is it possible?

One of the most popular ways to achieve success in Internet Marketing is to promote products or services for others as an Affiliate Marketer. There are good reasons why this way is a good choice. As an Affiliate Marketer you can do without a website of your own which comes with all the technical problems. You are also not responsible for the creation and cost of the product development. You simply have to direct traffic to the affiliate site you are promoting. If the prospect buys from the site you will receive a healthy commission.

It is fairly straight forward to locate merchandise to promote as there are numerous Affiliate sites with a multitude of offers. The large majority of these sites allow a no cost registration. By promoting multiple and diverse products from various niches you can spread the risk of failure as you will have success with some of them. Select 5-10 assorted items from different niches, particularly those with promising sales history. Be diligent during this selection process and spend plenty of time when researching your potential income streams. As you will be financing the promotion you should be comfortable you have made good solid choices that will earn good commissions.

Some important key points must be considered when selecting your products and services to promote as an Affiliate Marketer

Does the company have a reliable payment process and how are those commissions paid?

Are the commissions paid a high enough percentage?

Try to register with a company that has a good track record and will ensure you are paid immediately following your promotion has helped make the sale. There are many good, reliable Affiliate sites that satisfy all the above criteria. A simple search for Affiliate sites will provide you with many reputable companies to join.

Becoming an accomplished Affiliate Marketer is within the grasp of everyone. Those who are prepared to work hard, be organised and follow a few basic rules will realise a fulfilling lifestyle with plenty of time freedom.

Internet Marketing – 7 Essential Key Points To Consider

Wednesday, September 8th, 2010

In these modern times Internet marketing is becoming very well recognised, allowing everyday folks to earn an income online.

This income will not happen overnight, as is often claimed, but requires some hard work and planning.

Here are 7 important key points to help ensure your success.

1              Buy a domain name that contains keywords which are associated with your business. This domain name should preferably be a .com as these are searched for more frequently. A domain name relating to your product will also help your traffic and conversions.

2              It is not really necessary to include the word “welcome” in the title tag as this inclusion will use up critical space. Your title tag should help with definition of the site.

3              Have a definite understanding of your customer base. What do they want? How old are they? Are they male or female?

4              You should have clear, easy to find contact details. Potential online customers are impatient and require instant answers. Good, clear contact details make it easier for people to connect with you and consequently do business.

5              If you do not already have a recognised online presence it will be difficult to get new clients to do business with you on their first visit. It is advisable to build a relationship and some customers will need this trust before committing to a purchase. People buy from people they know and trust.

6              Your website is your “front office” and should reflect your image. Potential customers will make important decisions based on the appearance of your site. A professional website appearance will increase traffic to the site.

7              Finally make sure you have your site SEO friendly so that is highly recognised by all major search engines. There are many good web design and search engine optimisation experts who can help with this.

If used properly, the Internet can be a great tool in taking your business to another level. It has some huge technological benefits to assist your marketing. It can also be used to create a lucrative income and make money online.

Why Do I Need A Mentor?

Thursday, September 2nd, 2010

Trying to succeed online without a mentor will be a harrowing experience. Many beginners to internet marketing are very keen to get started without proper guidance and support. This impatience can lead to all sorts of mistakes when getting your business going and can also be very costly financially. It is vitally important to have some sort of support system to help you learn the “do’s and don’ts” of the online jungle. One of the best forms of assistance you can ever have is a good mentor.

A good mentor is essential in ensuring your online business will be successful. The right mentor will bring a multitude of skills to your business, including industry experience, knowledge of possible pitfalls you may encounter, a network of contacts and access to the latest news in the internet marketing industry. They have a lot of knowledge and experience on how to handle particular situations. They have dealt with numerous online business situations and know what to avoid as they have probably made those mistakes and carried out the hard work to correct them.

In the area of training a mentor can shortcut many training programmes for you and the extra 1 on 1 support can be a huge help in this subject. Your mentor will have knowledge of many training aids, both good and bad, and will know which ones are most suitable to your particular personality or business direction.

To have this experienced person at your side while you are developing your online business can definitely save you both time and money. Many budding entrepreneurs take far longer than they should to succeed whilst sometimes losing their initial investments.

Selecting the right mentor for you is a process that deserves your full attention. Make sure you choose a person who you feel comfortable with and have shown you he is an expert in his field. These days it is possible to join some successful internet businesses that have a network of mentors available. I would strongly suggest you have a good look at this type of support system. I am a member of The Six Figure Mentors which is a great community of mentors and entrepreneurs. Being a part of this community has helped me develop my online business much quicker than struggling on my own. You can have access to this support system and many successful mentors if you partner with me in my primary business. You can get more information on this below.

To Define an Entrepreneur

Tuesday, April 6th, 2010

When you encounter a new word, what do you usually do? Do you ignore it or do you try to look up its definition in the dictionary? For smart individuals, they will surely look up for the new word’s meaning. If you’re engaged in business undertakings, perhaps you want to define entrepreneur. Are you an entrepreneur?

There is a specific definition of entrepreneur. According to most dictionaries, an entrepreneur is a businessperson who finances or initiates emerging commercial enterprises. Basically, he or she is the person who provides for the capital of the business. However, providing capital alone is not enough to be called an entrepreneur. How is that?

It’s because some individuals prefer to invest in a certain business venture but that person will let someone else handle all the business activities.

Any person who finances a business venture and runs it can be called an entrepreneur. According to some economists, an entrepreneur is someone who develops a fresh and new product, a new way of producing something, or an innovative market. Usually, entrepreneurs start with a small business and if it proves to be successful, the business will slowly expand.

So why put up small businesses? You see, small businesses require smaller amount of capital while larger ones demand huge capital. Not many entrepreneurs nowadays are willing to take the risk of putting up big businesses without proper research and studies.

Some say that being an entrepreneur starts right after a child is born. The qualities are already possessed by the child from the moment of birth. The individual is already a thinker and schemer of things. These individuals will want to reach the impossible. So if you’re a born entrepreneur, you must develop your skills and qualities so that you can use it in the near future for your success.

Putting up a new enterprise may sound very hard but for the entrepreneur, nothing is impossible to achieve. Innovation, creativity, leadership, being a risk-taker, and having the right inner drive or passion are some of the keys to being a successful entrepreneur. If you possess these things, nothing can stop you from being one of the biggest names in the marketplace.

There are thousands of opportunities that you can find from emerging communications, culture, and science and technology. All you need to do is identify these business opportunities and turn them into a real business enterprise.  However, choosing a good business opportunity requires careful study and market research. Even if entrepreneurs are known to be risk-takers, they still have to make sure that they are entering a good business.

If you want to know more about the definitions of an entrepreneur, you can easily search for the meaning of the word in popular search engines like Google and Yahoo. By using the power of the internet, you can find a lot of definitions for you to understand the word much better. There are many resources to find online; all it takes is diligent research.

Being an entrepreneur is an exciting and challenging task. If you have the guts, the capital, the right inner passion, appropriate qualities, and skills, don’t hesitate to introduce something new to the market.

Besides, most customers like new stuff. So what are you waiting for? Study the market and see if you can enter it and become a new entrepreneur.
